The Indicators of Integration report and toolkit offers a comprehensive framework for the design and measurement of migrant and refugee integration, as well as a means of comparing integration across the UK. Civil Society Organisations can benefit from this evidence-driven framework by drawing on the indicators, the research and data that supports them, and using them to design interventions which can be more effective and more accurately evaluated. IOM is implementing the Capacity Building webinar on the Indicators of Integration in order to strengthen the understanding and the application of the framework and to include the learnings in the Guide for Practitioners on the Home Office Indicators of Integration Framework 2019.
To strengthen the understanding and application of the Indicators of Integration framework by Civil Society Organisations and community based organisations for designing interventions on integration and evaluating their impact.
Who should participate?
Staff in Civil Society Organisations and community based organisations, who are responsible for designing, managing or evaluating migrant and refugee integration programmes. Participants may have some knowledge of the 2004 Indicators of Integration framework.
What will participation entail?
The webinar will give participants insight into the design of the indicators, supporting research, and modes of measurement at a variety of local levels. This practical session will include an interactive briefing and it will focus on the utility and challenges of using the Indicators of Integration framework. Participants will employ the 2019 Indicators on a chosen project, as well as identify capacity building measures to expand the use of the Indicators, address organisational constraints, and be able to share the Indicators with collaborating organisations.
