Community Cohesion: A Report of the Independent Review Team

This report, often referred to as the ‘Cantle Report’ after its author, Ted Cantle, was written following a number of disturbances that took place in 2001, mostly in the north of England. The report found that communities were living “parallel lives" and highlighted the need to increase contact between communities in order to build ‘community cohesion’. Around 70 recommendations were made in total.
