Rebuilding our Common Life: A Three Point Plan to Forge a more Socially Integrated Britain

Ahead of the 2017 General Election, this short report set out a three-point plan outlining how the UK’s political leaders should promote active participation in community life and create more opportunities for people of all backgrounds to meet, mix and connect.

This report presents a number of policy recommendations on creating more opportunities and incentives for social mixing between people from all backgrounds. Offering a three-point plan: 1) Designing public institutions to boost social trust; 2) National citizen service as a vital tool in the pursuit of a more connected, cohesive society; 3) A national social integration strategy building on the Casey review.
